"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." -WC

Last January 26, 2023, under their "Adopt a Family Program," the Cadets of the Philippine National Police Academy and the BCPO-CMFC PCR section demonstrated the essence of service and benevolence by distributing care packages to individuals of Happy Hallow National High School. This compassion reflects their dedication to their community and illustrates that effective leadership prioritizes the well-being of those they represent.[1]"Community outreach by police departments is important in many ways. It helps increase understanding between residents and officers; it develops trust; it helps officers better relate to diverse communities; and outreach actually has a significant and positive effect on crime reduction. In the crucial area of substance abuse, addiction, and the epidemic of overdoses, community outreach is actually saving lives and making a real difference." Transformation Training Center (2021) .

Leaders are well-known as empathetic people who can recognize other people's emotions without hearing them. Almost always, public leaders are quick to devise a plan of action to alleviate the situation simply by observing it. With this, it is essential that, as future Public Safety Officers, we employ such learnings to benefit everyone. The manners being taught to the youth as public leaders will give them a sense of leadership by molding them in vitalizing their wits and physique in the Academy.

As demonstrated by the program mentioned above, even minute actions, such as providing relief goods to those in need, are already impactful. It serves as a reminder that dedication toward a cause will always be part of a Public Safety Officer. As such, every Public Safety Officer should never neglect the reasons that pushed him toward becoming a leader. As a result, one must always be dedicated to making changes to the advocated campaigns and programs, no matter how long it takes. It is necessary to develop ways to continue serving causes that benefit people. As a PNPA Cadet, everything inside the Academy is life-changing, from an easy-going teenager into a chivalric cadet that will be serving the country after 4 years of hardships in training and testing our leadership in the field of service which every graduate of this prestigious Academy internalized during the course of training.

Finally, such acts of kindness prove a forward-thinking mindset in the Academy, who think innovatively for the people's future. Rendering the essence of giving back to the people by providing us the cadetship that in return we comprehensively accomplish in delivering public service to the people. The public interest is our priority as Public Safety Officers, nevertheless, it is our prime duty to secure their lives and future endeavors. The safety and prosperity of our fellowmen are within our hands. By all means, doing good and continuing to serve the people, we embody our primary commitment to learning today and steadily pursuing being great leaders of tomorrow.
