1 Chronicles 28:20
"David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished." NKJV
Not only being strong and diplomatic, PNPA cadets are also "MAKADIYOS," which simply means that no matter what difficulties they may encounter, they will always pray and seek guidance from God for protection and provision. [1]"MAKA-DIYOS is faith in the Almighty and respect for family and future generations and encourages learners to express their spiritual beliefs and respect for others." Lorente (2019-2020). A cadet must always be humble toward humanity and always act rightly and divinely for the glory of God, for He has plans for all of us, and all we need to do is surrender and devote ourselves in order for the Divine Intervention to freely be in us.
In relation to the Philippine National Police' Core Values, being MAKADIYOS is literally being for God and is articulated in the faith of the Supreme Being. Likewise, this does not only talk about having faith in God but also having respect for family and future generations to encourage learners to express their spiritual beliefs and respect for others. For Public Safety Officers' side, it is a big challenge for them to attend their respective religious worship services despite having hectic duties and deployments, but they still find ways and means to listen and devote themselves to the Almighty, whom they always seek guidance in every problem and whom they always look up to when they feel down.
During the duration of our Cadet Attachment Program, it is obligatory for us to attend Sunday worship service not only for the sake of reporting but also for us to be grateful for having us in this stage of cadetship, nearly one and a half months before our last "TION" in the Academy. Sunday is the only day we would selflessly surrender ourselves to God, seeking forgiveness and asking for continuous blessings. Also, having big faith in God positively affects the performance of every law enforcer/ public safety officer in their branch of service.
Truly, attending Sunday worship services can be an important aspect of one's spiritual life. It provides individuals with opportunities for spiritual growth, community, worship, inspiration, and tradition. Whether it is through connecting with a higher power, connecting with others, or simply finding a source of peace and fulfillment, Sunday worship can play an important role in many people's lives.
