[1]"The PNPA is the premier institution for police education and the primary source for the commission-ship of police lieutenants. The PNPA shall be under the direct administrative and operational supervision and control of the Chief of the PNP." RA 11279(2019)
Law enforcement agencies, such as the Philippine National Police Academy, must strive and anticipate potential cadets in local high schools and colleges to ensure a steady emergence of eligible cadet candidates. It is crucial to create innovative recruiting activities targeting high school learners because these students are just starting to decide on their future careers. The youth will establish their future as Public Safety Officer after graduating in the Academy. They will be given the privilege and assurance of having a decent stable job on pursuing the Public Safety degree and will eventually work in the government as Police Lieutenants.
Last January 25, 2023, an information drive was administered to motivate Grade 12 students of DepEd Tayo Happy Hollow National High School to take the nearing exam PNPACAT 2023. This drive emphasizes how the Academy changes us physically and mentally. It showcases multiple benefits and opportunities to serve our country. Introducing PNPA can give them the idea that there are other ways to serve the country and being a PNPA Cadet is one of the privileges that are being offered. Instilling a sense of patriotism within them will solidify their will to serve the country.
As future Public Safety Officers, being able to participate in this pursuit enhances our external relations and increases our understanding of the Academy. It allows us to contemplate and go back to where we started. It enables us to appreciate and internalize our days from the past and future, and as we do so, we also give back to our people and provide them with the same opportunities. The opportunity of being a public servant had given us the courage to motivate others to fulfill their duty as citizens of our country. Embracing the wisdom and knowledge that we gained to share with those who are willing to take the challenge to be a Public Safety Officer had given us the satisfaction of being a leader. Encouraging our youth to provide service to their fellowmen will give them the idea of how public service is being served to the people without asking in return.
Moreover, through this drive, we could understand how the world works and apply it to our everyday lives by immersing ourselves in society and surrounding ourselves with individuals committed to bettering the world. Serving those around us gives us a distinct sense of purpose, which frequently manifests in other areas of our lives.
Ultimately, this information drive reminded us of our purpose as future Public Safety Officers and encouraged more willing individuals who wanted to take on the same journey, fostering mutual trusting relationships and opportunities, which is all for the better of the country. Just like our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal said that "The youth is the fair hope of the country." With that statement being said, our purpose is not to fail our fellowmen to provide the services that they are needed. It is our prime duty to encourage the youth to join the long maroon line because we were also once an aspirant sitting on those chairs listening to become one. Finally, it is my turn to do the same to muster the youths in building a safer community to live in and bring forth to our future generations the vision of better life in our country.
